Varitronix Bistable Cholesteric Display (BCD) technology offers a new type of extremely low power LCD with inherent memory. The image is retained when the power is off. The display reflects light of desired color with impressive brightness and very wide viewing angles. Varitronix has won the HKEIA Award For Outstanding Innovation And Technology Products in 2002, was selected as an exhibitor in the Hong Kong Institution of Science Annual Conference 2003 for the theme “Made in HK: a showcase of Hong Kong’s inventiveness”, and was an invited speaker in the 1st Annual Paper-Like Displays Conference. She also acquired a license from Kent Displays Inc., who holds the key technology patents. She is ready for mass production.
